2024 Gala Celebration in New Orleans, LA
Hosted by Canton & Sandy Springs Chapters
Les Marmitons International Gala – June 5th to 9th, 2024

The Les Marmitons of Canton and Sandy Springs invite all Les Marmitons and Friends to meet in New Orleans, Louisiana, starting on June 5, 2024, for the Les Marmitons International Gala. The Gala will feature a couple of special features – this will be a rare instance whereby a Gala is being co-hosted by two chapters. It will also be only the second such event to be held in a “destination” city. And New Orleans certainly qualifies as that!

The Omni Royal Orleans has been chosen as the host hotel for the Gala. Located in the heart of the French Quarter on St. Louis Street, the Omni is conveniently located for all the optional activities available to Gala attendees. It will also serve as the site of the grand Saturday night Gala dinner.

Some highlights early week will include optional dining experiences at any number of restaurants in the Crescent City. On Thursday, Gala attendees will take a ride on the Natchez, an authentic paddle-wheel steamboat, for a three-hour tour of the city complete with a Dixieland band and typical New Orleans dinner fare. This is also an optional event.

On Friday, attendees will gather in the Riverview Room for a welcome reception and dinner. The Room is located on the fourth floor of the former Jax Beer brewery and offers a panoramic view of the city and the river and is within easy walking distance of the Omni.

The grand Gala Dinner will be held on Saturday evening in the Omni grand ballroom.

A farewell breakfast at the Omni will give attendees an opportunity to say goodbye to friends and to recount the adventures of the Gala.

Other optional activities will include a visit to the World War II Museum, instructional and gastronomic visits to the New Orleans School of Cooking, a plantation tour, a walking food tour of the French Quarter, and an airboat ride  through the Louisiana swamps. Over the next few months, additional information on booking and reserving these optional activities will be provided to all chapters.

We  look forward to welcoming many of our Les Marmitons brothers and their guests to New Orleans.
